Here's a video by America's "It person" right now, Big Sean just dropped the video for his second single from his finally famous album.  I do it - honestly I love the concept and how there's actually a storyline to the video.  Listen to the lyrics and look at the images, you'll know what I mean.  I commend such... what do you think?

We've all jumped on the trend, personally I never adopted for reasons that probably don't matter to most. The Jesus piece or Crucifix has taken the world by storm, but has it lost it's real meaning and what it really represents?

Fashion is known to be a trouble-child industry and can get away with anything, but can religion really be a segment of fashion? I don't have anything against peeps sporting a Jesus piece, as overdone as it may be, some people can really pull it off. But how far will fashion go? Or how far will we push fashion against ourselves? Or are we even allowing it to against us?

Well everybody is entitled to their opinion, and everybody chooses (sometimes) which trends to adopt, drop or ignore. What do you think of fashion trends and how they affect what we stand for?

Hiiii Power!!!

Meet Kendrick Lamar the  revolutionary rapper with the vision of a an Eagle searching for prey.  He is one of the best new age rappers out right now with two full length projects to his name.  This is the first video from his highly anticipated project, section 80.  The track is entitled hiii power and we see Kendrick challenging social ills and going against industry norms in terms of the type of single he came out with, for this I will respect him forever.  My favourite line from the track... "Black man in the illuminati? Last time I checked that was the biggest racist party". Put three fingers in the air!!!

Pac Div - Fallin'

Super Dope rap crew Pac Div just dropped their second video from their latest album - Mania.  These dudes brought us Anti-Freeze now they bless us for the second time around with their second single called Fallin'.  In this track they sample Prototype by Outkast, put it on an old skool drum pattern, matched it with some good raps to give us Fallin' - enjoy!!

Revenge of the trapper hat

This has got to be the must-have winter accessory for both males and females. Not only does the trapper hat (Popularly known as the Eskimo or Russian hat) keep your dome warm in these chilly conditions, it makes a fashion statement too. Trapper hats were originally designed to protect hunters and fishermen from the European chills, but now we see celebrities rocking them (even in the summer) just to add a little personality to their look.

The Denim Jack- it

Do you still remember the times when denim jackets were all big, puffed up and actually looked cool? Some of ya'll would, personally I've never liked these but to my surprise they've had a boomerang effect on the world.  One of the reasons I didn't like these previously was because they were loose towards the chest down and made the jacket look borrowed.

On the contrary, the latest version of the denim jacket has been made slimmer and has a higher cut that sort of hugs the stomache. This is all it took to make the denim jacket hot again, celebrities like Kanye, Diddy, Lupe, Big Sean and Chris Brown jumped on it and now it's a world wide trend all over again.  Credit must be given to brand like Ti$a who dressed both Big Sean and Chris Brown in the "My last" video, Wrangler which is a legendary brand in the Denim industry and close competitor to Levi's which is also killing the denim jacket game with their washed out denim design.

On a normal day I'd recommend it to be worn with a plain vee neck tee, on the other hand depending on the function you could get a denim shirt instead and wear it with a bow - tie, which is a bit of a risk if you can't do it right.  Simplicity is best if you don't wanna look like you're try too hard. Enjoy!!

Goodfolx Manifesto

Never seek acceptance, rather seek yourself.  This is what initiated my thought process last night; I cannot stress this anymore than I already have.  I believe everyone was made to be unique and was meant to contribute this uniqueness to the world somehow. This is not a debate about what’s cool and what’s weird, personally I don’t believe in both of these.  It’s about understanding you and living according to this understanding.  Most of the time I respect the people who are shunned upon by society and still continue living regardless because they are comfortable with themselves and understand that in life you don’t strive to impress but make an impression regardless.  With that being said, I do me regardless of who you be!   Live your life unapologetically.

Yay, Nay, or simply Gay?

Times have certainly changed. We are living in times where a man can wear a pink shirt and not risk having his sexuality questioned. In these ever dynamic times, fashion can get away with virtually anything (To be frank, fashion can get away with everything). So yesterday while I was at Eastgate trying to get my eat on I saw the most absurd but highly fashionable dude shopping around wearing wait for it... leggings. I must admit, he did pull it off but unfortunately I didn't have my phone to take his picture. I certainly don't have the bravery to wear leggings, and I doubt many dudes do. Leggings on men are probably the next big thing, but don't expect me to be wearing them anytime soon. Here's a guy rocking leggings, tell the Goodfolx what you think?

Kanye goes Leather pants crazy!!

Kanye went Leather pants crazy, this might be his attempt to bring the old school leather pants look back to the future, if you ask me... only a few people can pull this off without looking queer.  Here's a series of outfits he rocked closed to the end of last year.  Also checkout his recent performance at the SXSW Vevo hosted G.O.O.D music performance that happened two yesterday.  Both Kanye and Jay Z stuck to the all black everything concept.  In the pics, we see Kanye wearing Jordans, Loafers and Christian Dior high tops all black or grey.  I couln't upload more pictures because the blogger service is messing with me.  Tell me what you think, but personally I like the outfit he wore in the video. I remember designing a couple dope pics when I was in matric using Photoshop CS3 but I recently got the latest photoshop and felt like I had to start from scratch because it looked totally different to what was in my memory.  Nevertheless I do have an eye for good design and I appreciate it heavily.  These are some jpegs I came across recently
